Take 2 Suicide Prevention

September is national Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and in support of our students, we are launching “Take 2,” a very important suicide prevention campaign.

Take 2 will take place at all our schools and charges students to “Take 2” minutes to talk about suicide prevention, to support a friend, to reach out for help if needed, and to care for themselves.

Supported by our District’s mental health professionals, we have many events planned at your student’s school focused on prevention. We encourage you to please take 2 minutes to discuss the message of suicide prevention with your child, and visit our resources about teen suicide prevention, as well as mental health and overall well-being.

And always remember, we are here to help. You can reach out to us by contacting your student’s counselor or contacting us at Student Services at 661-729-2321.
