Students must earn an A-D grade at the end of the summer session in order to complete either 5 or 10 credits, within the 19 days, two and half hours of work per day per session. Non-participation or non-completion of work will result in a No Mark (NM). Only 5th year seniors may complete variable credits. A maximum of 10 credits may be earned during summer school. Incoming 9th graders, may enroll in Health (for a maximum of 10 credits). They may also enroll in one session of PE Elective (concurrent with Health), however no credits will be earned for the PE Elective class. Students will be dropped for non-attendance after the first week of SS in order to accommodate students on our waitlist.
Students receive attendance by completing a DAILY LEARNING LOG (DLLs) and assignments and engaging in educational activities. Each student will be assigned one learning log per week totaling 4 DLLs. To complete DLLs each week students must – Fill out the student name line with their FULL first and last name – Checkmark each day they engage in educational activity – Sign their DLL – Return the completed DLL to the SS Teacher by the due date assigned.
Log on to Google Classroom Daily and submit completed assignments. Be sure to submit before the deadline. You should expect 2.5 hours per day per session. Keep a detailed record of the assignments you submit for your own records.
