Prom Day
Students attending prom must arrive for check-in this Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 3:30 PM. All students and guests MUST have a physical picture ID, screen shots will not be accepted. If you don't have a physical school ID or California ID, stop by room 230 to get one. If bringing a masquerade mask, it must be handheld and not worn with a strap. If you'd like to purchase pictures at prom, please see the O'Connors price package on our website. No food, drinks, liquids, liquid makeup, or medication will be allowed on the bus, please plan accordingly so your items are not confiscated by security. You may bring portable phone chargers.
Prom Information
Prom 2023 will be held on Saturday, April 1 at Santa Anita Park. The one-day ticket sale day will be held on Saturday, February 25 by appointment. Read the Prom Packet for full details.
Prom is open to Quartz Hill High School Juniors and Seniors. Guests are welcome to attend, upon approval, with a QHHS Junior or Senior (including QHHS freshmen or sophomores or off-campus guests). Guest pass applications are due to the Activities Office in Administration by Friday, February 17.
This year's ticket prices (all inclusive of transportation to and from the venue from QHHS, food & beverage at the venue, and access to any extras provided at the event.)
- $150 General Ticket (QHHS Juniors & Seniors)
- $140 ASB Cardholders (QHHS Juniors & Seniors)
- $160 Guests (QHHS underclassmen or off campus guests)

Ticket Sales
The big Prom Ticket Sale Day will take place on Saturday, February 25, by appointment. Check this Google Sheet for which group you have been assigned. (Must be logged in to your avhsd Google account). Scroll through the tabs at the bottom to find your group. The appointment time is listed at the top of the sheet. On Saturday, arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment time with the following:
- Prom Permission Slip (page 4 of the Prom Packet)
- School ID
- Payment
If you cannot attend on Saturday, you can send those three items with a friend or parent to purchase for you. Any one person may make purchases for up to four people on Saturday. Approved guests have already submitted their Prom paperwork and ID with their Guest Pass request, so you only need to bring payment for an approved underclassman or off campus guest ($160 each).
If there are any remaining Prom tickets still available after Saturday, that will be announced on Monday, February 27 and sold first-come-first-served through the Student Store at snack and lunch until sold out.
Prom Court (Open to Juniors Only)
Any QHHS Junior interested in running for Prom Court should complete:
- Prom Court Application (Google Form)
- Prom Court Permission Slip, Publicity Contract, and Campaign Materials docs (Print PDF)
- Attend Mandatory Info Meeting Friday, February 17 at the beginning of your lunch in room 217
- Turn-in all paperwork no later than end of B Lunch on Friday, February 17 to room 217
- See Mr. Culver in ASB Room 102 or Mrs. Estrada (Junior Class Advisor) in room 217 with any questions
